"Tú me dirás, lo que no quiero oír. Duele, demasiado. Quizás, porque es la verdad. Me gustaría rechazar esas frases de tanta pena. Si podría, lo haría. Pero, como es, ni lo intento. ¿Tal vez, mañana?"
I'm knee deep in responsibility and the flood (inundación) is coming to take me. I think I've forgotten how to swim. Bummer, right?
Anyway, on to something much more "serious."
Seriously, what the fuck is the correlation between voting and democracy? Do they necessarily go hand in hand or are there other ways to partcipate in democracy. Are there others ways to practice it? If we're to decenter the subject (the subject being democracy) than we can come to the understanding that democracy is a social construction, as well. I know, I know. Sounds crazy, right? It's something to think about. Like I said to myself when I was a pibe, "capitalism and democracy are like oil and water...they don't mix"
Sin embargo, I've got a new album to share.
dilute - Grape Blueprints Pour Spinach Olive Grape

"I was taken by surprise. The music is good, but who is the old lady singing?" Funny. Seriously. It's funny. dilute was a band based in SF, but they've been broken for a while and the members have becomed involved in other projects (okay, natural dreamers, 31knots). dilute can at one moment be chaotic and the next beautiful. At first listen, the album is unpredictable, but that's a good thing. Above the beautiful melodies being played by the guitars and bass are some pretty interesting lyrics: "I am child with a gun/I might just murder everyone" which are found on the 2nd track. If I can describe this album it would be, chaotic beauty. 8 tracks of outstanding chaotic and beautiful melodies that will blow your mind away. Is it post-rock? Is it math-rock? Is it just weird? and who the hell is that old lady singing? Who cares. Just know that this albums is highly HIGHLY recommended because of it's unbelievably high awesome level.
| 1 | Planet |
| 2 | People |
| 3 | Apple |
| 4 | Alphabet |
| 5 | Explosion |
| 6 | 0 vs. 1 |
ps. Highlights of the album are alphabet and o vs. 1. Especially, alphabet. The song begins with guitar playing a sweeping melody that uh...sweeps you off your feet. Next, enter the 2nd guitar, bass and drums. Slowly, you hear vocals emerging. The song is just slowly building up and doing it so beautifully. What a cheeseball, I am! This song is beautiful.

That old lady singing is actually a dude! Marty Anderson. The mastermind behind it all, as well as of Okay, and partnered with Rumah Sakit's Kenseth Thibedeau to form Howard Hello. He's a genius.
